Welcome to my newsletter – you are in love

Welcome, loves. Sincerely. I have wanted to do this for quite a few years and finally, the stars have aligned (I finally have a functioning to-do list) and so now here we are. Thank you for taking the time to read. 

I named this newsletter and podcast after one of my favourite quotes that has been swirling in my brain ever since I saw it on Tumblr:

“she asked 'you are in love, what does love look like' to which i replied 'like everything i've ever lost come back to me.” — Nayyirah Waheed

I was moved by this all those years ago for the same reason I’m moved by it now: I know it to be true. 

Much of my twenties was drowned in grief as I lost close members of my family suddenly. However, at the same time, I witnessed the transformative élan of love and its ability to shape our lives with deep meaning that transcends. I became fascinated with the subject of love and have been richly blessed with so much of it. You might know that even my Instagram handle is @heatherloveslove! 

My mission with you are in love is to investigate, discuss, gossip, and conspire in the hopes that together maybe we can uncover a broader vocabulary for love and a richer understanding of its intricacies. I want to ask nosy questions and welcome messy answers.

What can you expect from you are in love? 

I will be sharing regular podcast episodes as well as newsletter interviews and discussions. 

For paid subscribers (tysm!) you can expect two (or more) newsletters a month and podcast episodes once I’m up and running. Thank you so much for supporting my writing, it means a lot! Btw, you can cancel at any time, no hard feelings.

For free subscribers, I will be sharing snippets, occasional posts, and podcast episodes. If you can’t afford the subscription for whatever reason, please email me and I’ll happily offer you one on the house.
